Radio Orphans music linked to sudden bicycle acceleration
By: Curtis Lowe, AFNN
April 1, 2010
Minneapolis, MN
Radio Orphans music linked to sudden bicycle acceleration. Total music recall possible. Confirmed reports are coming in far and wide concerning bicyclists and Radio Orphans music.
There have been nine reports of unintended acceleration while listening to Radio Orphans when riding a bike. One case, involving Dora Hairpins of Minneapolis who reportedly barely escaped with her life. Ms Hairpins stated
"I was riding along listening to my iPod, and on came the Radio Orphans. Suddenly, as soon as I pushed one pedal down the other pedal came up, the harder I pedaled, the faster the bike went."
Hairpins reported that she had to squeeze both brake levers as the song mercifully came to an end."Thank God, I didn't end up in the lake!"
Senator Al Franken, MN DFL, is reported to be "very concerned" and is calling for a commission to be formed to study the matter. He stated,"Folks need to know that when they are biking and listening to their favorite music that they are safe."
Reports out of Nashville indicate that a bicycle sudden acceleration commission (BSAC) consisting of music producers Rick Rubin, Bob Rock, and world cycle champ Lance Armstrong has already been formed. This may result in the total recall of Radio Orphans music.
According to an unauthorized source, the Radio Orphans are currently somewhere near the Arctic Circle recording the sounds of global warming for their next album and unavailable for comment.

Radio Orphans ON Yahoo! Video
From the Dept. Of WOW! Recently the Radio Orphans music video Ides Of March was selected as a featured video on the front page of Yahoo! Video This was a nice surprise, we've gained many channel subscribers and quite a few views. Finneaus and I would like to welcome our new viewers and thank Yahoo! for the feature!
The Radio Orphans also have a Video Channel at Yahoo! One can view Radio Orphans music videos along with the option to rate, comment on the videos, or subscribe to the channel.
One thing I've noticed at Yahoo! Video is the quality of the video stream. If you're up for compare and contrast, I think you'll notice that out of all the sites that have our video Ides Of March, it looks or streams the 'best' at Yahoo! Video.
The exact same video file was uploaded to each site: YouTube, Google Video, Veoh, and Yahoo! This leads me to believe that Yahoo! either uses less compression when converting to Flash or they stream at a higher bandwidth than the other sites I've sited.
Either way, each site has its own plus and minus when comparing ease of use from either a user or content providers perspective. The way our content is presented to users is important to us. The Radio Orphans strive for our content to be presented in the highest quality look and sound available and we're excited that Yahoo! is providing a way for us to meet that standard.

New Song: We Hardly Knew Ya
We Hardly Knew Ya, A new Radio Orphans tune that’s a tribute to the late Syd Barrett.
Syd was a founding member of the band Pink Floyd and a solo recording artist. The early experimental pop music of Pink Floyd along with Syd’s solo albums influenced the Radio Orphans early on. Fellow Orphan Jaw Knee states: “Syd Barrett’s own music and his early work with Floyd was fundementel in helping shape the sound of the Radio Orphans”.
Fellow Orphan Finneaus adds: “ In general, if you’re a rock musician, you’ve been influenced by Syd Barrett in some way or another” Any comments or questions are welcome at radioorphans@gmail.com
Download or Stream "We Hardly Knew Ya" at MP3.COM or SONGPLANET.COM Both sites have the same version of the song. At MP3 it's a higher quaility bit rate (192 kbps). At Songplant a lower bit rate (128 kbps) but you can read the lyrics as you listen.

We scratch the surface "Beneath The Skin" from the bewitching music of Collide.
No need to run, you'll just be "Wasting Your Time" so relax with the enchanting sounds of Refrag.
Maybe hanging out in the "Graveyard" with the Butthole Surfers will get you feeling "33%" more scared via the zombie vibe of Clarity & The Brothers P. Watchout! There seems to be a "Lack of Oxygen in the Mausoleum" caused by The Digital Nasty who seemingly knows all about "The Spectator" conjured up by the Radio Orphans.
